Pandora

Pandora is a Class-VI neural world: a sentient, conscious planet and the homeworld of the Pandorans, a tall, blue-skinned species able to form neural bonds with their living world. Pandoran society was organised into tribes deeply intertwined with the planet’s consciousness.

For five years the Echelon Empire tried to subjugate Pandora, but the planet’s neural network and the Pandorans’ guerrilla tactics held it to a stalemate. Lord Æon Ishtar arrived in SD 804 and allied with the Inkedua tribe, led by Matriarch Naeru, and Pandora was unified in under a year. Æon discovered that the world was conscious, ordered all imperial industry dismantled, and declared Pandora off-limits to exploitation (the Pandoran War, SD 799–805).

Naeru remained High Matriarch, the Pandorans built underground facilities to study their neural pathways, and they integrated into the imperial navy. Pandora is the source of Pandoran Ambrosia, refined from the Ambros produced by the planet’s ocean-dwelling whales.
